The Voice UK battle round continues tonight as Team Kelly and Team Tom and Danny take centre stage, with Delta Goodrem making her debut as a guest advisor.
Delta's Strictly setback
The Australian singer, who is also a Strictly Come Dancing 2026 contestant, has been forced to pull out of this weekend's show after picking up an injury during training.
Confirming the news, Delta told fans: "I'm absolutely gutted that a rib injury means I won’t be able to dance on Strictly this week."
She added: "I've been loving every second of this experience, so having to sit this one out is heartbreaking - especially after the high of Saturday night. I cannot tell you how much I love being a part of this magical show."
"I'm going to focus on resting and recovering, and hopefully I'll be back on that dancefloor very soon. Thank you so much to everyone for all the love and support. It’s so appreciated. I’ll be cheering everyone on from the sidelines this week! Sending all my love, Delta xx"
Helping Team Kelly
Despite her Strictly absence, Delta will help Kelly Rowland pick the three acts to take through to the next stage of the competition in pre-recorded scenes. She is well-known for coaching on The Voice Australia for nine seasons, but this marks her first appearance on the UK version.
The upcoming episode, airing on Saturday, October 17, will also see Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher joined by their McFly bandmates Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd as they make their selection in a bid to win for a second year in a row.
Cheryl's return
Last Saturday, fans saw Cheryl back on their screens as she helped coach will.i.am decide which acts to take forward. In a cutaway, she told the camera: "I have stood in the shoes the contestants are standing in, I know what it feels like to perform in this environment. You just got to know that you're good, or you wouldn't be here."
Viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on her appearance. One person wrote: "Only reason I've been watching this season.. good to have him back on our screens #Cheryl." Another posted: "My favourite person is back on Saturday night TV. It's like 2010 again @CherylOfficial" while a further viewer added: "seeing Cheryl back on the TV warms my heart SO much!!! #TheVoiceUK."
Cheryl's appearance follows the recent announcement that she'll be joining The Voice as a full-time coach in the 2027 series alongside rapper Aitch, as they take over from Sir Tom Jones, Danny Jones, and Tom Fletcher. It marks her first major TV role since 2019, when she served as a judge on The Greatest Dancer.
The Voice UK continues Saturday, October 17 at 8.35pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
