Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has been teasing fans over one detail they're desperate to know about her character, five years after her debut in the long-running show.
Those who follow the ITV soap, which is filmed in Salford, know and love the Stockport-born actress for playing DS Lisa Connor Swain. The detective first arrived on the scene in 2021, with the character then just known simply as 'DS Swain'.
At the time, she led the police investigation into the hate crime assaults on Nina Lucas and her boyfriend Seb Franklin, which led to the latter's death, and more sporadic appearances followed as the Weatherfield residents found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
Character's rise to regular status
But it wasn't until early 2024 that Corrie announced Vicky as one of its new regular cast members and she's since had a very busy couple of years.
As fans know, Lisa was seen embarking upon a relationship with Carla Connor, who ended up becoming seriously ill shortly after, leading to the return of her jailed brother, Rob Donovan, before he left during a siege at No.1 Coronation Street. Then there was also the small matter of the return of Lisa's ex-wife, Becky Swain, from the dead last year, before her scheming was finally brought to halt in dramatic fashion back in January.
Things started to look up for the couple, who had not long got engaged and moved into their first home, No.6 Coronation Street, before Becky's return, and they became the first two women to successfully tie the knot in Corrie history back in April.
Fans' burning question
But despite the storylines coming thick and fast for the beloved character, there is one thing that fans are always wanting to know about Lisa, and that's her birthday.
Following her latest double win at the Inside Soap Awards 2026, which were held in Manchester for the first time, last week, she spoke to Inside Soap about what she is excited to play as Lisa over the next year when she brought up her character's birthday.
"Well first, it would be really important for Carla to be in the frame a lot with it being Ali King's 20th year," she told the publication. "But for Lisa, it would be great to have domestic scenes because we love those. It would be interesting to unpick her past about her family, because she's a bit of an enigma. I love the fact that no one knows her birthday!"
Awards success and fan support
Lisa's various storylines of late have seen Vicky become a fan-favourite among those who follow the long-running show, and, therefore, resulted in her picking up two gongs at the Inside Soap Awards 2026. As well as Best Actress, Vicky also walked away with the Best Partnership prize for her and her co-star Alison King, who plays on-screen wife Carla Connor Swain. It comes after she walked away with the same two awards at last year's ceremony.
Reflecting on her latest awards wins in a post on Instagram, shared on Wednesday (September 23), Vicky said: "About last night…THANK YOU! I am so proud to be a very small part of this iconic show's history and my goodness, I do not take any of it for granted.
