The pair's on-screen love story ended in tragedy with Sinead's death, but their real-life friendship remains strong.
Reunion Photos Spark Joy
In the pictures, Rob and Katie are seen smiling together in the Manchester sunshine, with one snap showing a kiss on the cheek. Katie captioned the post: 'Sinead and Daniel reunited… I've missed my onscreen hubby,' adding, 'So good to finally catch up.'

A Tragic On-Screen Story
Daniel and Sinead's relationship began steadily in 2018, with a proposal in the summer. When Sinead announced her pregnancy, they were thrilled, but she soon began experiencing worrying symptoms and was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Fearing the effects of treatment on her unborn baby, she initially declined chemotherapy.
By January 2019, the decision was taken out of her hands when doctors discovered the cancer had spread, and she was induced to undergo aggressive chemotherapy. Their son, Bertie, was born prematurely but healthy, while Sinead faced complications and required surgery.
On October 25, 2019, Sinead tragically died, leaving Daniel devastated. Since then, Daniel has had complicated relationships with Daisy Midgeley and Bethany Platt, and was recently horrified to learn that his girlfriend Megan Walsh had been grooming a student.
Life After Corrie
Since leaving Coronation Street, Katie McGlynn has appeared in series such as The Syndicate and Hollyoaks, and has recently been making guest appearances as a DJ at events. Rob Mallard continues to play Daniel on the ITV soap.
