Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has confirmed she and footballer fiancé Ryan Ledson are getting married in 2028, sharing an update on their wedding plans after he proposed last year.
The Blackpool-born actress, best known for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap filmed in Salford, made her cobbles debut in 2015. After leaving in 2020, she returned to the role at the end of 2023. Away from Weatherfield, Lucy is now focused on planning her wedding with Ryan, a midfielder for EFL League One club Huddersfield Town.
Engagement announced after birthday weekend
In November, Lucy celebrated her 30th birthday before revealing that Ryan had proposed. She announced the news on Instagram with a string of photos showing off her sparkling engagement ring. In one, the couple, who share two children, posed for a selfie as she held her hand to the camera, appearing emotional with tears in her eyes. Another showed Lucy in a restaurant raising her glass, her ring dazzling on her wedding finger.
Alongside the post, the soap star wrote: "Ending the birthday weekend with my best friend as a fiancé!!!! I can’t wait to marry you @ryanledson8."
Wedding planning details revealed
In a new video made in collaboration with Hitched, Lucy confirmed: "We are getting married in 2028 and we're still very early in our wedding planning, but there are lots of things to get organised, so let's do it!" Captioning the post, the mum-of-two wrote: "Wedding planning mode: activated. Only 700 things left to organise lol. Making my way through the list with @hitcheduk + their Wedding Passport… honeymoon fund pending."
In April, Lucy was seen getting into the planning of her and Ryan's big day. She took to Instagram to share a video of the moment she asked her best friend to be her Maid of Honour, including clips of the pair as youngsters and presenting her with a box filled with treats.
Alongside the emotional post, set to a remix of the ABBA track Slipping Through My Fingers, Lucy wrote: "We have been with each other through every chapter and I can’t wait for you to be my maid of honour @livgregs."
