Clive Owen has admitted to being a "horrible patient" following his hip operation. The admission comes after his ex-wife, Amanda Owen, called him "unbearable" during a repeat of Our Farm Next Door airing today.
"It has been very frustrating for him; that is me being polite," the Our Yorkshire Farm star and mum of nine admitted. Turning to Clive directly, Amanda declared, "You have been unbearable," prompting him to burst into laughter.
"I have not," he fired back, insisting, "I have not, I have kept myself to myself. I've minded my own business, I don't think I have shouted at anybody or anything." Offering a particular example, Amanda responded: "One day, you were sat in your underpants staring at the floor in the kitchen."

"It's a really frustrating and horrible thing," Clive remarked, as Amanda quipped, "You really are a frustrating and horrible thing."
During another repeat of Our Farm Next Door, available to watch on All4, Clive opened up about taking a step back from his farming duties and "passing the baton" to his kids.
With his trademark blend of wit and honesty, Clive summarised his evolving role on the farm: "It's time to pass on the baton and let them do more and more, and that is how it is. I am here to watch over them and annoy them, and we will get there in the end."

His remarks reflect a recurring theme throughout the series, with Clive having previously spoken about stepping away from farming life. In this episode, he once again raised the notion of relinquishing responsibility, quipping that his sons had performed so admirably during his recovery that he might soon find himself surplus to requirements.
"It means from now on they needn't hand the reins back to me, they can just carry on," he said, before joking with his son: "I could find myself redundant, what do you think, Miley? That is what family farms are all about, everybody has to help."
