Celebrity MasterChef returns to BBC One this week with a fresh batch of famous faces competing for the title. The new series features TV and radio presenter Jason Mohammad, comedian Joe Pasquale, musician and actor Jay McGuinness, Olympic medallist and weightlifter Emily Campbell, former Love Island contestant Shakira Khan, actress and comedian Donna Preston, TV Gladiator Emily Steel, presenter and former Royal Ballet dancer Eric Underwood, actor Nitin Ganatra and YouTuber Tom Simons.
Format and Guest Judges
The celebrities will compete across three heats, with four contestants from each heat advancing to the quarter-finals. They will face challenges designed to test their cooking skills and ability to handle pressure. Guest judges include Paddy McGuinness, Zoe Ball and Morgan Burtwistle, known as Angry Ginge, who will set their own challenges.
Judges Return
Grace Dent returns as a judge alongside chef Giorgio Locatelli. Giorgio joined the British MasterChef after success with MasterChef Italia, while Grace has become a familiar face on the UK series. Grace, from Cumbria, has previously joked that her northern accent has rubbed off on Giorgio.

Appearing on ITV's This Morning on Monday, August 17, Grace spoke with hosts Craig Doyle and Angela Scanlon. Craig mentioned the series was said to be the funniest ever, and Grace agreed without hesitation, saying: "It's the funniest one ever. Even if you only watch one, watch the first one when Joe Pasquale makes his Frankenstein pie," according to the Mirror.
With a mix of television stars, performers, sporting champions and online personalities, the new series promises competition, surprises and entertaining moments. Joe Pasquale's Frankenstein pie has already been singled out as one to watch. Celebrity MasterChef returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Tuesday, August 18.
