All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has announced the death of British wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac in AEW and formerly Adrian Neville in WWE, at the age of 40. The announcement was made in the early hours of Monday morning (September 28) UK time, just 24 hours after his last ever match. No cause of death has yet been given.
A Career Spanning Two Decades
Satterley, originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, began his wrestling career in 2004. Over a career spanning two decades, he performed under the ring names Pac in AEW and Adrian Neville in WWE. He appeared in the WWE from 2012 to 2018 before moving to AEW in 2019, where he became a seasoned veteran celebrated for his raw and compelling performances.
A spokesperson said: "All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac."
Final Match and Tributes
Satterley made his final appearance in Chicago on Saturday evening, facing AEW national champion Andrade. He was defeated, shook hands with his opponent, and was reportedly involved in another face-off later that same evening.
Heartfelt tributes have flooded in beneath the statement posted to Instagram. One devoted fan wrote: "Heartbreaking, thank you for all the memories for over a decade." Another added: "Rest in Peace PAC, watched you since the NXT days. My condolences." A third remarked: "No way! Pac ruled, I just watched him fight last night! RIP!"
Impact on AEW
Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. The spokesperson added: "Our condolences go out to Satterley's family, friends and fans."
AEW has also been mourning the loss of fellow wrestler Andy "The Butcher" Williams, who passed away following a heart attack earlier in September.
