Bristol's Aviva Arena unveils VIP areas in new images

Fresh images of Bristol's highly anticipated arena reveal what guests might enjoy if they're willing to splash out on VIP access. The cutting-edge 20,000-capacity venue is currently under construction at the former Filton Airfield site by Malaysia-headquartered firm YTL and is projected to draw over one million visitors a year following its launch.

Supersonic VIP membership unveiled

The landmark facility - now branded as Aviva Arena - is officially scheduled to open its doors in 2028, though Bristol Live reported last month that the timeline could face further delays. This hasn't deterred venue management from forging ahead with ambitious plans to position the arena as a premium destination for events and hospitality.

Today (Tuesday, October 13) the arena unveiled a VIP membership scheme spanning several exclusive areas throughout the complex. Supersonic VIP - in a nod to Concorde - will provide companies, brands and fans with an "incredible array of exclusive next level hospitality and VIP options to enjoy", according to an arena representative, alongside "the very best seats in the house".

Premium packages and exclusive spaces

The premium packages comprise private suites featuring dedicated bars accommodating up to 22 guests; the 100 Club restaurant offering fine-dining experiences; and the Sonic Lounge for pre-event entertainment and networking, complete with 'premium' food and beverage selections.

Andrew Billingham, chief executive of YTL Live, said: "Aviva Arena is making exciting progress, and the launch of Supersonic VIP marks another major milestone as we move closer to delivering a world-class venue for Bristol and the West of England."

"These memberships will offer some of the very best seats in the house, with exceptional hospitality, access and service designed around unforgettable live experiences. Demand is expected to be high, reflecting the scale of ambition for the arena and the appetite across the region for a venue that will bring the biggest names in music, sport and entertainment to Bristol."

Pricing and economic impact

Aviva Arena is yet to publish pricing details for its membership packages, though prospective members keen to explore the various VIP options are able to request further information through the venue's website.

Leanne Kesterton, head of premium sales at YTL Live, said the arena's offering was designed "to go beyond" traditional entertainment packages. "Our memberships offer year-round access to world-class live events, exclusive member benefits and unforgettable shared experiences," she said.

Positioned as one of Europe's most ambitious live entertainment destinations, Aviva Arena will be the first venue of its scale in the West of England. Once operational, the arena could potentially inject as much as £1bn into the local economy over the next 10 years. It is estimated that around 2,000 jobs will be generated during the construction phase, with a further 500 permanent positions required once the venue opens its doors.
