Good Housekeeping has named the Tesco Finest British Free Range Bronze Turkey Crown with a Pork, Cranberry & Chestnut Stuffing as the best turkey crown for Christmas 2026. The product scored 84/100 in blind taste tests conducted by the Good Housekeeping Institute.
Taste Test Methodology
The Good Housekeeping Institute taste-tested a wide range of turkey crowns, cooking them according to the instructions on each packet and serving them blind to avoid brand bias. The evaluation covered fresh and frozen birds from supermarkets and online butchers in a variety of weights.
The winning Tesco Finest turkey crown costs £65.80 and weighs 1.85-2.35kg. It is a luxury product, appealing to shoppers looking to spend more for their Christmas centrepiece.
Panel Verdict
The Good Housekeeping Institute said: "A clear favourite with our panellists, Tesco's turkey crown is beautifully tender with a sweet pork, cranberry and chestnut stuffing that cuts through the buttery richness of the meat. Moist and full-flavoured, it's a crowd-pleasing centrepiece that takes some of the hard work out of Christmas dinner."
