BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Jenny Lee Summers has announced she will be leaving the station "in the next year or so" to live in Spain. She made the announcement during Helen Jones' afternoon show on Monday, August 10.
Summers, who has presented and produced almost every show across the schedule since joining in 2005, said: "It's not a goodbye but see you in a while." The show aired between 2pm and 6pm and is available on BBC Sounds.
Career at BBC Radio Merseyside
Summers joined the breakfast show in September 2023 after former host Paul Salt announced his departure. Salt moved to host Total Sport Merseyside and was replaced by Phil Munns on Mondays to Thursdays and Lisa Marrey on Fridays. Summers was part of the Merseyside team joining Phil and Lisa as the channel began a new chapter.
