John Barrowman is set to return to Ayrshire this autumn with his concert My Life In Musicals, performing at the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr on Saturday, October 3 at 7.30pm. The show celebrates his career and the greatest West End and Broadway musicals.
Rescheduled Dates After Family Loss
Earlier this year, several spring performances were postponed following the death of Barrowman's mother, Marion, known to fans as 'Mama Barrowman.' After an outpouring of support from audiences, the postponed dates have been rescheduled and folded into the autumn tour.
A Career of Leading Roles
Barrowman has spent more than three decades on stage, with 23 leading roles in the West End and Broadway. The concert will feature stories and songs from productions including Sunset Boulevard, Anything Goes, Miss Saigon, Company, Chicago, La Cage Aux Folles and The Phantom of the Opera.
Barrowman's Message to Fans
John Barrowman said: “From descending the staircase in Sunset Boulevard to sailing high in Anything Goes, from the passion and heartbreak of Miss Saigon to the razor-sharp brilliance of Company and the razzle-dazzle of Chicago, my life has been one glorious, glitter-dusted adventure.
“This tour is my love letter to every stage, every song, and every one of you who’ve cheered, cried, laughed and believed right along with me. The spotlight may shine on me, but the magic – that’s always been ours. I can’t wait to bring you My Life In Musicals.”
Tickets for the Ayr performance are available at the Gaiety Theatre's website.
