Amber Davies has expressed a desire to return to Strictly Come Dancing, not as a contestant but to teach a masterclass. The 29-year-old former Love Island winner, who reached the final of last year's series with professional partner Nikita Kuzmin, said she would be open to participating in a themed week focused on musical theatre.
Speaking on her podcast Call to Stage, Davies ruled out a mainstream television comeback but said she would consider one-off appearances. "There's no TV shows that I've got on my agenda. I wouldn't mind doing one-off things, like if Strictly got me back to do a masterclass in Musical Theatre week or a themed week," she said.
Davies has built a successful career in musical theatre since her reality TV fame, with leading roles in Pretty Woman, Back to the Future, and currently starring as Elle Woods in the UK tour of Legally Blonde. She was drafted in as a last-minute replacement for fellow Love Island winner Dani Dyer last year after Dyer sustained an injury in rehearsals.
Dyer has now been announced as a contestant for this year's Strictly series, alongside EastEnders star Lacey Turner. Davies, who has interviewed stars like Corbin Bleu and Samantha Barks on her podcast, said she has no interest in becoming a television presenter, preferring to focus on stage work.
