A pregnant woman's choice of a highly unusual baby name has horrified her sibling, who fears the child will face a lifetime of difficulties. The expectant mother plans to name her daughter Zacqualynne-Mahtyldah, a unique moniker intended to honour two deceased relatives.
Name honours relatives but sparks concern
The name combines "Zac" as a tribute to her partner's brother, "qualynne" based on her late sister Jacqueline, and "Mahtyldah", a unique spelling of Matilda. The mum-to-be believes the deceased family members would have appreciated being remembered in such a personal way, but her sister strongly disagrees.
"I think they'd hate being part of such a revolting name," the woman wrote on Reddit, where she sought public opinion. She wanted to show her sister "what kind of life this kid will have".

Commenters largely sided with the concerned sister, predicting the child will face repeated problems. One user said: "Imagine being 5 and learning to write your name." Another added: "For the love of all that is holy, just no.
