Coronation Street aired tense scenes in the Platt family on Thursday's episode, leaving viewers asking who Harry's dad is. Sarah Platt is currently in prison for the murder of Theo Silverton, and her daughter Bethany and ex-boyfriend Kit Green have been looking after her young son Harry.
Harry lashes out at Kit
In Thursday's episode, available on ITV X, Kit struggled with young Harry, who lashed out at his former stepfather. After revealing he had signed Harry up for an end of summer club at Glenda Shuttleworth's Little Big Shotz, Harry trashed their home and stormed out to find Sarah at the Bistro.
Sarah was on a date with Roman, which turned awkward as Harry showed up followed by a stressed Kit. Harry fumed: "I hate him. It's meant to be the holidays!", adding he just wanted to hang out with his friends.
Harry reveals his dad is dead
As Kit tried to interject, Harry snapped: "Oh, shut it, will you? You're not the boss of me" with Kit responding: "Well, why your mum's not here, I am. Come on" with Harry shouting: "You're not my dad!"
Furious, Kit then snapped, saying: "Right, your dad would have been bothered to take you to summer school?" to which Bethany's date, Roman, asked why not. This prompted Harry to reveal: "Because he's dead!" Realising he had gone too far, Kit said: "Didn't mean that. I'm sorry, it was a snide thing to say!"
Sarah Platt family tree
Sarah is the daughter of Gail Platt and Brian Tilsley. After Brian died in 1989, Martin Platt became Sarah's adoptive father. In 2000, Sarah had daughter Bethany at just thirteen, with Bethany's father being Neil Fearns, who died in 2003.
In 2016, Sarah welcomed her son Harry, whose father is Callum Logan. Villain Callum died in 2015, nearly six months before Harry's birth. This means Harry has Bethany as a half-sister and Max Turner as a half-brother. Adam Barlow became a father-like figure to Harry after marrying Sarah in 2020, but the duo later split, and Sarah moved onto Kit.
In upcoming scenes, Adam criticises Kit's parenting of Harry, suggesting Harry should stay with him for the rest of the holidays as it's important they all share the load. Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
