Keen Ruffalo, who plays Connor in the new Prime Video teen drama Sterling Point, is the son of Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo. The revelation may surprise fans of the show, which began streaming recently.
The eight-episode series follows teenager Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin) and her twin brother Connor (Keen Ruffalo) after they inherit their estranged grandfather's Canadian island. When Annie visits to uncover family secrets, she discovers shocking truths. The cast also includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Missi Pyle.
Keen's Background and Famous Family
Keen, 25, is Mark Ruffalo's eldest child with wife Sunrise Coigney. He previously had guest roles in Hal & Harper and Thor: Ragnarok, but Sterling Point marks his first major role. Mark is known for playing Bruce Banner/Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has starred in films like 13 Going on 30 and The Kids Are All Right.
Mark and Sunrise married in 2000 and have three children: Keen, Bella, and Odette. In 2019, Mark told PEOPLE that balancing acting and fatherhood was challenging, joking: "It's intense. The times when my wife is gone, and I've had to take care of everything... the laundry alone is enough to destroy you."
Keen's Path to Acting
Keen was born in June 2001 and stayed out of the spotlight. At age 12, he visited his dad on the set of Begin Again and was asked to be an extra, but he didn't like how he looked on camera. He then pursued fashion design and made his own pieces. Plans to study fashion were disrupted by the Covid pandemic, leading him to acting.
He told WWD: "I was just doing nothing and hit that depression of 'I've just been sitting here for months on end not doing anything that has any meaning'." He added, "So I was like, what could I do? And I decided acting makes my dad so happy that I might as well see how I feel about it."
Keen also shared, "And I kind of fell in love with the idea of being able to be these different people and give them a voice. I think that's kind of where it all started for me."
