Laura Whitmore's choice of snack left Saturday Kitchen panellists horrified as she ate a raw mushroom with mayonnaise during a pre-recorded Best Bites episode.
Controversial Snack Revealed
On the show, host Matt Tebbutt said: "So Laura, a little birdy tells me you love eating raw mushrooms with mayonnaise?" Laughing, Laura replied: "I love raw mushrooms." She then picked up a raw mushroom and ate it, prompting reactions from guests.
Guest Helen said: "Just don't want to watch... oh my gosh she eats it like an apple", with Paul adding: "I can't even watch."
Personalised Mayo and Canapes
Laura was presented with a plate of raw mushrooms and two bottles of her personalised mayonnaise, "Whit-Mayo". She admitted the dish is called canapes, sprinkling cheese on top, adding: "That's what I used to do when I was younger."
Her choice of blue bottle meant she received her food heaven, eating another mushroom with mayo, joking: "That is lovely.... it gets the pallet going for a seafood linguine."
