Royal expert reveals 3 similarities between Kate and Meghan

Meghan Markle and Princess Catherine share more in common than many realise, according to royal expert Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR. The sisters-in-law have not been seen together for years following the fallout between their husbands, Prince Harry and Prince William. Once known as the "Fab Four," the couples' relationship soured after Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties and made public criticisms of the family. Despite the rift, Carratt identified three similarities between the two women.

Passion for travel

Both Meghan and Catherine have traveled extensively. Carratt told the Mirror: “Meghan would often share photographs and talk about the different travels that she'd been on the Tig, and she spent time in Buenos Aires working at the US Embassy as part of her university course.” She added: “Before Kate attended St Andrew's she spent time in Patagonia and did an art course in Italy during her gap year.”

Love of sports

The pair both enjoy watching and playing sports. Carratt noted: “Kate is a big fan of tennis, she is a patron of the All England Lawn and Croquet Club and is frequently seen in the Royal Box at Wimbledon. Kate has even attended Wimbledon with Meghan in the past. William and Kate are also close friends with tennis champion Roger Federer and his family.” Meanwhile, Meghan regularly cheers on her close friend Serena Williams at the U.S. Open.

Shared interest in fashion

Royal fans often compare the outfit choices of Meghan and Catherine. Carratt explained: “Meghan and Kate are frequently compared for their fashion sense. They both have a keen interest in fashion and are often seen photographed looking chic and stylish. Meghan's preferred designer is Caroline Herrera, while Kate prefers Temperley. Kate has a more conservative dress sense and is mindful of her expenses when it comes to dressing up.” Carratt added that Catherine often recycles outfits and shops on the high street, while Meghan favours designer labels.
