Clarkson's Farm Season 5 has captivated audiences, particularly with the appearance of bird activist and conservationist Hannah Bourne-Taylor. Viewers quickly learned she is married to former Olympian rower and British Army officer Robin Bourne-Taylor. The couple wed in 2015, and Hannah marked their 10th anniversary on X (formerly Twitter) with a post: 'First bird of my day: a starling dashing across the grey sky, dedicated to my husband who, 10 years ago today, married me. Of course, he is called…Robin! #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours.'
Robin Bourne-Taylor's Military and Olympic Career
Robin served in the British Army from 2003 to 2011, including a deployment to Afghanistan. He was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for his service. After leaving active duty in 2010, he joined the Regular Army Reserve of Officers in 2011. Simultaneously, he pursued rowing at the highest level, competing in the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2008 Beijing Games. He won bronze medals at the 2003 Milan and 2007 Munich World Championships.
Life After the Army and Rowing
Robin now works as a professional speaker, sharing insights from his extraordinary dual careers on the frontline and in elite sport. Between 2013 and 2021, the couple lived abroad, including a period in rural Ghana where Hannah discovered her passion for bird conservation. They now reside in Oxfordshire with their two rescue dogs. Jeremy Clarkson's recent prostate cancer diagnosis and remission announcement also feature prominently in the current season.
