Prince Harry appears in new video for Scotty's

The Duke of Sussex has appeared in a new video for Scotty's Little Soldiers, a UK charity that supports bereaved military children who have lost a parent who served in the British Armed Forces. Harry has supported the charity for many years and became its patron in 2023.

Video from Summer Festival 2026

The new clip was shared by the charity and features footage from the duke's visit to Scotty's Summer Festival 2026 last July, during a five-day trip to the UK. In the video, Harry speaks about what the charity means to him.

He says in the video: "I can really relate to this community, and I love supporting all these kids."

"I get a fix out of this as well. I have so much fun with this community, so much fun with these kids and these mums and these, and these parents and grandparents."

"I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm absolutely honoured to be a global ambassador for Scotty's."

Ongoing support from the US

The duke regularly engages with the charity even when he is in America, sending video messages or letters for major events. The charity also posted the video on social media on August 18, 2026, with a message about Harry's role as Global Ambassador and how he relates to the Scotty's community.

Previous comments on the charity

Following his appearance at the summer festival last July, Harry said: "I'm so proud to be Scotty's Global Ambassador and I care deeply about the charity's incredible work in supporting bereaved military children, young people and their families."

"It's an honour to meet some of the charity's members today – many of them familiar faces as I've met them at previous Scotty events. It's clear just how much being part of the Scotty's community means to them."
