Phil Collins has revealed that he watched the BBC period drama Wolf Hall four times while recovering from a serious health scare that left him in intensive care for seven months. The 75-year-old Genesis frontman opened up about his ordeal in a new interview, saying his loved ones were told to say their goodbyes during his hospitalization.
A difficult recovery
Collins, who has a 24-hour live-in nurse to manage his medication, explained that his health issues were exacerbated by a return to drinking after several years of sobriety. This led to him being rushed to a Swiss hospital in November 2023. During his long recovery, he spent much of his time watching television, with Wolf Hall becoming a particular favorite.
In addition to the period drama, he said he enjoys watching Sky News and the gameshow Shooting Stars. He told The Sunday Times: "Watched it four times."
