Miley Cyrus Eyes Glass Blowing Career After Touring Exit

Miley Cyrus has revealed she plans to ditch the microphone for glass blowing, hoping to one day open her own crafty boutique in Italy. The Grammy-winning singer, 33, admitted she has fallen in love with the idea and is taking steps to make it a reality.

Speaking about her long-term ambitions, Miley said: "My dream actually is for when I'm much older, I'd like to have my own glass shop in Italy."

Birthday Gift Sparks New Passion

The Flowers hitmaker has already taken the first step thanks to her boyfriend Maxx Morando, who surprised her with a glass-blowing course for her birthday. She explained: "My very sweet partner, my boyfriend, he got me glass-blowing lessons for my birthday. So I'm supposed to start that as this next thing."

Miley hinted that fans may have to wait a long time for the follow-up to her last LP Something Beautiful as her next journey is to complete the lessons. Comparing the release of a record to raising a child, she said: "The album, as it starts to kind of grow up... it's going to be an adult soon. So I've raised it, it's been my baby, and now it's in this child state, and then it's going to go off and do what it's going to do without me. And then I'm going to start taking my glass courses."

Quit Touring for Intimate Shows

Her new ambition comes after she revealed she has quit touring, saying she "doesn't have the desire" to be back on the road. Speaking on Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky, Miley said: "The last show that I played, I guess maybe three years ago, large crowd was 250,000 people and since then I have never done that again because it was so disturbing to my body and the holistic version of me. And now I play to 250 people max! I took away all the zeros."

Miley has been dating Maxx since 2021 and they have confirmed their engagement in recent months.
