Megan Pickford, wife of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, has received an outpouring of support after sharing an inspiring message on Instagram about recovering her sense of self after giving birth.
The 30-year-old, who married the England international in 2022, posted a montage documenting her journey to "getting her spark back." The clip, shared with her 196,000 followers, was captioned: "Important reminder: A lot can change in a year."
From Postpartum Struggles to Family Joy
The montage begins with a photo of Megan just after giving birth, with on-screen text reading: "When someone is going through it PP and I say, try not to worry. Your spark will come back. And they look at me like I don't know ball. Trust me, I know ball."
Heartwarming clips show the family of five on holiday and enjoying time together. The couple share three children; their second daughter was born last year, and their third child arrived last April.
Celebrity and Follower Support
Friends and followers flooded the comments with praise. Strictly Come Dancing star Dani Dyer shared a series of heart emojis, while Erin Borini, married to former Liverpool player Fabio Borini, wrote: "and you were there for me." Taylor Ward, wife of Riyad Mahrez, said: "Gorgeous."
A follower named Maria commented: "Such an important message. Many do not understand," and Stephane added: "Awww Megan this is beautiful . U always have been."
Family Life and World Cup Support
Megan regularly shares updates from her family life on Instagram and attended games over the summer as Pickford played a starring role for England in the World Cup. After England's 2-1 semi-final defeat to Argentina, she posted: "Can finally look back with a warm heart. Thank you for the memories."
The couple have been together for more than 15 years and tied the knot in the Maldives in 2022. They are parents to son Arlo and daughters Ostara and Misty Celine Pickford, whose birth they said made their hearts "double in size."
