Lily Mo Sheen, the 27-year-old daughter of Michael Sheen and Kate Beckinsale, made her own red carpet statement at the New York premiere of Sense and Sensibility on Wednesday. She wore a cream silk slip dress with black split-toe pumps, her hair in an elegant up-do, with minimal makeup and subtle silver earrings.
Star-Studded Event
Lily Mo, who is building her own acting career, mingled with the film's stars, including Daisy Edgar-Jones, Caitriona Balfe, and Esme Creed-Miles.
The actress, whose mother Kate Beckinsale has a string of Hollywood hits, has previously said she is determined to distance herself from the 'nepo baby' label. Her grandparents, Judy Loe and Richard Beckinsale, are also TV legends.
Independent Path
Earlier this year, a source told the Daily Mail: "She loves her parents but she's definitely leading an independent life and has for a long time... She doesn't want to rely on her parents - at the same time, it's undeniable that it would give her a leg up, so she just wants to really work hard and earn her career. She even takes acting classes."
Born in London, Lily Mo began acting as a child, appearing in Underworld: Evolution (2006) as the younger version of her mother's character, Selene. She also appeared in Everybody's Fine (2009) alongside Kate, before gaining wider recognition for her role as Addy Cage in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022).
Personal Milestones
In April, Lily Mo revealed she was two years sober, sharing a photo of herself holding a tray of cupcakes on Instagram with the caption: "Two years sober." A friend replied: "So proud of you, Lily."
Her mother Kate has also spoken about avoiding alcohol, telling Shape magazine in 2016: "I don't drink alcohol. I feel [its effects] very quickly, so I've never actually had an entire glass of anything alcoholic."
Kate recently wiped her Instagram account after responding to cruel comments about her appearance. She shared screenshots of messages she had received about her weight following the death of her mother, Judy, last year. One comment read: "Loosen up the Ozempic !! You were divine and now you look anorexic!"
Kate responded: "You take a break from Instagram for several months following the death of your mother, delete all of your posts and explain in some considerable detail about what you may have lost weight including the fact that weight loss is one of the very first physical signs of bereavement… I think people might be broken."
