A new true crime documentary series, Last Seen On Holiday, is now streaming on Crime+Investigation, exploring some of the most “gripping” mysteries involving people who travelled abroad and never returned home.
The series examines bizarre and tragic disappearances of British and American travellers who went to another country, whether for work or holiday, and never came back. Each episode focuses on a different case of someone going missing overseas in strange circumstances, looking at investigations by local authorities as families and friends continue to seek answers.
Episodes and cases
So far, two episodes have been released. The first delves into the tragic case of Tyler Kerry from Essex, whose family holiday to Turkey turned into terror. The second takes viewers back to 2004, when 14-year-old Max DeVries vanished in Aruba.
A brand new episode will air on the channel at 9pm on Monday, August 17. Episodes are also available to stream online as an add-on service on Prime Video and Now TV.

An official synopsis reads: “You’re with your loved one, or they’re away from home in another country. Out of the blue they disappear. What do you do? What do the police and local authorities do? Where are they? What’s happened? Are they alive or are they dead? Why have they vanished?”
It continues: “Each episode of Last Seen On Holiday takes us deep inside a gripping mystery. A case of a British or American citizen who disappeared when they were away from home, abroad. Whether on holiday or working, each story will reveal the turmoil that families and friends go through when they don’t know where their loved one is.”
One fan took to TikTok to share their recommendation, saying in a video: “Some very mysterious cases but as always with these true crime documentary shows, extremely heartbreaking as well. But I do have to say I found this absolutely fascinating and I can't wait for the next episode to come out.”
After watching the first episode, one person commented: “I watched the first one it was so sad.” In another clip, another viewer admitted both episodes are “quite shocking”. A trailer was previously shared on YouTube, showing the anguish loved ones go through when they have unanswered questions.
Last Seen On Holiday can be watched on Crime + Investigation, with new episodes released every Monday at 9pm.
