Kylie Minogue and Quentin Tarantino Team Up for New Film

Kylie Minogue and Quentin Tarantino, an unlikely duo, have been seen laughing and joking together while filming a scene for a new movie in Wales. The pair were spotted at Porthcawl's Saltwater Inn, where they "laughed and sang together" as part of a wake scene for the upcoming film Tangled Up in Blue, directed by prolific British filmmaker Jamie Adams.

Tarantino's Australian Connection

Tarantino, who is currently working on what he promises will be his final directorial project, reunited with Welsh director Jamie Adams. The two previously collaborated on the improvisational drama Only What We Carry last year, which starred Simon Pegg, Sofia Boutella, and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Tarantino and Kylie reportedly hit it off on set due to Tarantino's well-documented love for Australian "Ozploitation" cinema and pop culture. He has frequently expressed admiration for actors and cultural icons from Down Under.

Kylie's Welsh Roots

Kylie agreed to the project because filming in Wales holds personal significance. Her mother, Carol Jones, was born in the Welsh town of Maesteg, and Kylie has often expressed pride in her close family ties to the region. The funeral scene was filmed at a church in the nearby village of Newton.

Cast and Production Details

Tangled Up in Blue, named after a Bob Dylan song, also stars Jason Isaacs, Allison Williams, Sofia Boutella, and rapper RZA. BBC Wales reported that Tarantino was seen on Friday at the Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff, having a drink with the film crew. Kylie, who launched her Netflix documentary series Kylie in May, began her career as an actor on the soap Neighbours and has appeared in films such as The Delinquents, Street Fighter, and Moulin Rouge (as the green fairy).

Tarantino's Final Film

Quentin Tarantino does not currently have an announced final film, as he officially scrapped his long-planned 10th movie project, The Movie Critic. Whether he will add a little "Padam Padam" to his next movie soundtrack remains to be seen.
