Katie Price 'Always Felt Misunderstood' in Documentary Teaser

Katie Price has revealed that she 'always felt misunderstood' while reflecting on her life in the trailer for her upcoming documentary series, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide. The four-part series, produced by Louis Theroux's Mindhouse production company, will premiere on Sky and streaming service Now on July 8.

Documentary Explores Three Decades of Fame

The 48-year-old former glamour model, who rose to fame as Jordan in the 1990s, is the subject of the archive-led retrospective. The series promises to combine unseen footage with candid testimony from family, friends, and professional associates. In the trailer, Price admits: 'I know I have hurt people deeply, and I know I've made mistakes.'

The one-minute trailer opens with a voice-over from her mother, Amy Price, who describes her daughter as 'quite shy as a little girl'. Price then states: 'I always felt misunderstood... no one got to see the vulnerable side... never.'

Revelations and Personal Reflections

The trailer also references Price's 2002 fling with Gareth Gates, when he was 17 and she was 23. At the time, Price was six months pregnant and later sold the story of their brief relationship. Another contributor notes that Price 'throws these little bombs and wants to see what they do'. Her mother adds: 'We had to do something, otherwise we'd lose her.'

Price's ex-husband Alex Reid, to whom she was married for less than a year from 2010, claims she 'emasculated' him. Price herself says: 'It's very hard to explain me. I've got nothing to hide... I am what I am. It's like watching a movie, isn't it?'

Sky's Description of the Series

Sky describes the documentary as an 'archive-led retrospective' that 'brings a documentary lens to Katie's story, combining extraordinary unseen footage with first-time, candid testimony from those closest to Katie'. The network adds: 'With new and revealing perspectives providing raw and first-time context to a turbulent life lived in the public eye, the series promises to go beyond the headlines to deliver a revealing portrait of one of Britain's most enduring celebrity figures.'

Price's career includes appearances on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2004, where she met Peter Andre, as well as stints on Celebrity Big Brother, Loose Women, and several of her own reality series. Her private life has been highly publicized, with nine engagements and four marriages. She has also been open about undergoing numerous cosmetic surgeries, including breast enhancements and face lifts.
