Strictly Come Dancing stars James and Ola Jordan have announced they are splitting after almost 23 years of marriage. The couple revealed they have undergone a "trial separation" and intend to continue co-parenting their daughter.
Vanessa Feltz's Confession
Last year, James's former dance partner Vanessa Feltz admitted on her Channel 5 show that she had developed feelings for him during their time together on the BBC competition in 2013. She said: "For an insane 24 to 48 hours I fell passionately in love with him. I had a partner at the time and I was happy in my relationship, ish, but I fell passionately in love with him."
Speaking to Ola, Vanessa added: "Then I remember you coming in to show me how steps should be done and then I kind of woke up thinking: 'This is ridiculous but there is something intoxicating'." She also described a moment when James entered her radio show, saying: "I was thinking: 'I love him, I love him,' then I thought oh come on this is ridiculous, grow up don't be an idiot."
Their Partnership and Family Life
James and Ola began dating in 1999 and married in 2003. They welcomed their daughter Ella in 2020. Two years later, they spoke to Hello! Magazine about their IVF experience and hopes to expand their family.
Ola said: "Yeah. I would love to have another baby. We're not thinking about another baby yet though." She added: "I'd love Ella to have a sibling - more for her than anything. She's quite hard work at the moment, so I can't imagine it but yeah, we would love to have more."
James commented: "We had such a positive experience with IVF. The clinic were so caring and it was run like clockwork." He added: "The whole experience was very professional. We haven't thought about another baby imminently, but we would definitely go through it again if we decide that we want to."
