Social media sensation Christopher Hall is bringing his Edinburgh Fringe smash hit Pizazz to Newcastle this weekend. After earning rave reviews at the Fringe this summer, the comedian and podcast host will take to The Stand stage in Newcastle city centre on October 18, with some tickets still available.
A party from start to finish
Hall, known for his viral videos and successful podcast, describes the show as "an incredible night out; it's a party from start to finish, it's heavy on the jokes. I dance, I sing, I make everyone feel like we're a friend group catching up."
He added: "Nobody has to get up on stage, but I involve the audience and give them an hour to forget everything that's happening outside and leave with a big smile on their face. People did say their mouths and their stomachs were laughing when they came to see it in Edinburgh."
From living rooms to global fame
Hall spent his childhood performing living-room shows for his parents before moving on to Soho dance-offs and performing in musicals on cruise ships. He then found global fame online with his hit series Background Singers, which sparked collaborations with Sugababes, Natasha Bedingfield, The Jonas Brothers, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, JoJo, Delta Goodrem and Olly Alexander, alongside his sister Rosie.
With viral characters including Your Cat and The Millennial, Hall has amassed over 12 million likes and 50 million views online. This summer he joined X Factor legend Diana Vickers to perform at the Mighty Hoopla festival.
Dream collaborations
Asked about his dream backing vocals collaboration, Hall said: "I'd absolutely love to do one with Kelly Clarkson! I think What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger would be a great one. And if Girls Aloud ever do another tour, I've got my sights on them."
Hall's visit to Newcastle comes as the nights draw in and temperatures drop, offering audiences a chance for some Sunday evening joy at The Stand.
