Christine Lampard Would Have Had More Children If Younger

Christine Lampard has revealed that she would have welcomed more children with husband Frank Lampard if she had started her family at a younger age. The Loose Women star, 47, made the candid admission while appearing on the Sort Your Life Out: Unpacked podcast, reflecting on her journey to parenthood.

Christine, who married former England footballer Frank Lampard in December 2015, said motherhood has been a complete blessing. She explained that the couple spent years enjoying their life together before deciding to have children, with Frank initially encouraging the move. 'It was slightly our own fault. I mean, you know, we've been together 18 years. So we kind of went through years of just having a really nice life. It was just us. We were sort of happy doing our thing,' she said.

Frank Lampard's Role in Starting a Family

Christine revealed that it was Frank who pushed for them to consider having children. 'And then it was actually more Frank. Frank said, "Look, we really should maybe think about this because I know you're going to love it." And I thought, "Well, yeah, maybe I, maybe I would," ' she recalled. The couple welcomed their daughter Patricia in 2018 and their son Freddie in 2021.

The presenter expressed her love for motherhood, stating, 'It was just a complete, it just felt like a complete blessing. And that's the truth. I really loved it. I'd have had more if I'd started younger. I would have, if I could have. But I would have. Honestly, I really, really enjoyed it. I say that and like two is a handful anyway. But yeah, it is. It's a real blessing.'

Enjoying Every Phase of Parenthood

Christine shared her appreciation for each stage of her children's development. 'Every single phase, you kind of, I've loved the next phase even more. I've got that beautiful spot at the moment where they're still quite young and baby-ish, but they're old enough to hold your hand and talk about their day and tell you what they want and if they're hungry and there's no guessing anymore. And actually, I'm loving this phase now as well,' she said.

She also described the distinct personalities of her children, noting that Freddie has developed a 'dry sense of humour' while Patricia is 'very emotional and very attentive' and 'very, very sentimental.' Christine added, 'I would not be allowed to throw anything out that she's ever made.'

Simple Hopes for Her Children

Despite enjoying watching them grow, Christine's hopes for her children remain straightforward. 'All I ever care about, I don't need them to be Einstein's. I don't need them to do anything. I don't really care. I just want them to be healthy, happy and kind, good people and right morals and values,' she concluded.
