Chrissie Hynde Art Exhibition to Open in Scotland This August
Chrissie Hynde Exhibition of Paintings to Launch in Scotland

An exhibition of paintings by The Pretenders singer Chrissie Hynde is set to launch in Scotland. Titled Chrissie Hynde: On Canvas, the showcase will open at the Harvey And Woodd art gallery in Dundee on August 1 and run until August 28. The exhibition comprises 25 works spanning portraiture, still life, and abstraction.

Previous Exhibitions and Artistic Journey

This follows Hynde's earlier exhibitions, such as Hynde Sight, which debuted at Kensington’s Cromwell Place in 2024 before moving to Harvey And Woodd in Edinburgh in 2025, where it evolved into Hynde Sight II. The 74-year-old American singer has been displaying her artwork globally for the past eight years. Her paintings have also appeared on the sleeve of her 2019 album Valve Bone Woe, a collection of cover versions.

Art in Fashion and Publishing

Hynde’s vibrant geometric shapes and hand imagery were used as motifs on garments in Vivienne Westwood’s spring/summer 2021 collection. Additionally, nearly 200 of her original artworks were published in the 2018 book Adding The Blue via Genesis Publications.
