Epicland UK, a new soft play centre featuring light up slides, role play sections, and an interactive projector screen, has opened in Trafford on the upper floor of Partington Shopping Centre. The venue officially launched on Saturday and is already attracting families from the surrounding area.
Replaces The Hideaway
The attraction replaces The Hideaway family play centre, part of The Hidden Treasure Trust Christian-led charity, which closed at the beginning of 2026. The new brightly coloured centre, predominantly pink and yellow, includes two soft play sections: one for children aged two and under, and another for those aged three to nine.
Key Features
Main features include a light up racing slide, a light up warp slide, an interactive projector screen, and various role play sections. A cafe allows parents to supervise their children while enjoying barista-quality coffee and a good quality food menu.
Family-Run Business
Wendy Leung opened the business with her sisters Winnie, Winhola, and Wanda. Between them, they have 10 children aged two to nine. Wendy said: "We have always dreamed of opening a soft play since having kids. We have been to many over the years, so we have put together things that we have liked from other soft plays and things we thought were missing, and would make the experience more enjoyable for parents too."
Location and Jobs
The free car park was a key factor in choosing the location, which is easily accessible from Stockport and other Trafford areas. Most staff live within walking distance, including students and mums. Wendy added: "We think this would bring more footfall to nearby businesses too."
Pricing and Hours
During peak times (weekends and school holidays), sessions last two and a half hours; off-peak play is unlimited. For one child aged one to nine with an adult included, it costs £16.95 peak or £12.95 off peak. Extra children are £13.95 peak and £9.95 off peak. Babies under one go free. Party packages start at £21.95 per child off peak and £24.95 per child at peak times, with over 20 themes to choose from. The centre is open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, and weekends and bank holidays from 8.30am to 6pm.
