Channel 4 has confirmed that its popular show Secret Genius will return for a second series, expanded to seven episodes. The programme, which first aired in February, attracted 2.1 million viewers for its debut episode.
Presenters Alan Carr and Susie Dent will return to host the new series, which will feature a fresh set of puzzles and intelligence tests inspired by Mensa IQ assessments. The show aims to uncover the hidden abilities of everyday people through large-scale interactive challenges at Genius HQ.
The upcoming series, co-produced by Mothership and WPP Media Motion Entertainment, will include more games for home audiences to participate in, alongside new ways to test contestants and viewers alike.
Alan Carr expressed his excitement, stating: 'I'm absolutely thrilled Secret Genius is back... This series feels really special - bigger, more playful, and giving everyone at home the chance to join in.' Susie Dent added that the first series was 'life-changing' for some participants, and she looks forward to witnessing more incredible minds.

Series one of Secret Genius is currently available to stream on Channel 4.
