Stacey Solomon in Tears as Sons Return to School After Six Months

Stacey Solomon has been left emotional after her two eldest sons, Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, returned to school for the first time in six months. The Loose Women panellist, 30, shared a series of posts on Instagram documenting the milestone.

Earlier in the day, she posted montages of her three boys during lockdown, before sharing a picture of Zachary and Leighton in their school uniforms. 'All dressed and ready for the day,' she wrote, adding a crying emoji. 'I can feel that they're a bit nervous but I know they'll be so happy once they're in.'

After dropping them off, Stacey filmed herself with tears in her eyes. 'Ah... I don't know if I'm relieved or what. It's such a weird feeling. I'm going to make myself a cup of tea and drown my sorrows,' she said. She captioned the video: 'And they're in! I feel sad but also so relieved it's such a weird feeling!'

In a subsequent video, she praised other parents, particularly single parents and those without support, who had coped during lockdown. 'Oh my god, you're amazing, I don't know how you did it. I honestly don't know how you did it, I take my hat off to you,' she said, adding that she could not stop thinking about the challenges many faced.
