Temperatures climbed to 33C on July 29, prompting one couple to get creative: they used a leaf blower as an oversized fan while relaxing in a park.

Onlookers shared photos of the pair, with one person joking they were the 'UK heatwave final bosses'. Another said the couple was 'living in 2036'. Comments poured in, including from Aldi, which posted: 'That's kind of genius tbf.' A second user wrote: 'Send one my way. Try being menopausal in hot weather. I remember March was nice. That's my last lovely memory of weather.' A third added: 'The leaf blower may come in handy tonight.'
Aldi confirms stunt
The bizarre sight was actually a playful stunt by Aldi, as it prepares to launch a range of garden must-haves on August 13, including an Electric Leaf Blower for £29.99. The supermarket says its Specialbuy is perfect for clearing garden debris, leaves and outdoor spaces with ease.
