A viral optical illusion has been shared online as a personality test, and TikTok user @marina.neuralean says the first thing you spot in the image reveals how easily you open up to others.
The graphic shows both a waterfall and a panda, and viewers were left gobsmacked by what their initial reaction said about them, with many questioning themselves after reading the meaning.
Optical illusions are often used as a fun and unserious way to explore hidden parts of the psyche. By going with your gut on the first look, you may reveal aspects of your character you never knew about. Tests like this should be taken with a pinch of salt and have not been verified by experts, but they do make you consider your inner world a little more.
What spotting a waterfall first means
According to the content creator, if the waterfall was the first thing you noticed, it means you "open up easily and make new connections easily" and "see yourself as an open person". She said you have a "lightness" and "simplicity" that attracts others, which is a positive trait especially if you are a social butterfly. You are also "a great listener" who gives genuinely helpful advice.
There is a downside, however. People may perceive you as so positive that they assume you have no problems at all, and may be shocked when you admit to feeling down. She explained that this happens because "when others come to you with their issues, you're always there to listen and help", but "when it comes to your own problems, you prefer to handle them alone". While you take pride in your independence, "deep down, you wish you had someone to lean on and share your struggles with".
What spotting a panda first means
Marina said that if you see a bear or panda first, "you're the opposite of the previous description". You "may appear sweet and friendly on the outside, but you don't easily let people into your heart".
It typically "takes you a long time to trust someone, and you have a hard time letting go of past hurts". She added that this could stem from "past traumatic experiences" in which you were "betrayed or deceived", leading you to "keep your distance".
However, this is not necessarily "a bad thing", as it "shows you've learned from your past". It also means you are "cautious not to make the same mistakes" again, which makes your guarded nature understandable.
