Luvverly Named Britain's Favourite Word After First Sip

A survey of 2,000 adults has found that 'luvverly' is Britain's favourite word to utter after the first sip of a cold drink. The expression, popularised in mid-20th century TV and radio, topped the list of satisfying exclamations.

Regional Variations

Londoners are most likely to say 'banger', while Scots prefer 'braw'. In the East Midlands, 'bosh' is common, and those in the North West declare it 'boss'. Nationwide, 17% use 'luvverly', followed by 'lush' (10%), 'class' (9%), and 'phwoar' (7%).
