Why hypochlorous acid?
Courtney describes hypochlorous acid as the 'most underrated non-toxic disinfectant'. She explains that typical commercial cleaning products contain harmful fumes and chemicals. Hypochlorous acid kills bacteria and viruses without harsh chemicals, fumes, and is safe around children and pets. It can be used on countertops, cushions, and even some forms on skin. How to clean your sink and drains
Courtney’s routine: start by scrubbing with dish soap. Sprinkle baking soda and scrub or wipe, then rinse. Pour half a cup of citric acid and half a cup of baking soda down the drain with hot water and let it fizz. Spray hypochlorous acid, let it sit for two minutes, then wipe and dry completely.
