A 10-year-old boy in Thailand has been left traumatised after a group of bullies pinned him down and tattooed a vile slur across his forehead using a makeshift gun. The victim, named Kao, was subjected to the attack in Kanchanaburi province, with the word 'p***y' inked onto his face. His arms and legs were also covered in twisted designs.
Local eyebrow tattoo artist Janjira 'Frame' Kaewket witnessed the crime and promptly offered to remove the inkings free of charge. She reassured the boy that the tattoos could be easily removed because the bullies had used a crude tool comprising a sewing needle attached to a pen. The first laser removal session took only 15 minutes, following an hour of anaesthetic due to the child's age.
Ms Kaewket said there were over ten spots on Kao's legs in addition to the forehead tattoo. She explained that the tattoos were not deeply embedded, meaning the damage can be fully reversed after just three laser sessions. The story went viral on social media in Thailand, prompting an outpouring of support for the boy and praise for the salon owner's kindness.
One social media user commented, 'Shame on those that did this to him,' while another said, 'Who would be so cruel?' Others thanked Ms Kaewket, with one person writing, 'Not all heroes wear capes.' The artist's selfless act has been widely commended as a beacon of humanity in a distressing situation.
