A one-year-old German Shepherd named Christopher is facing an urgent race against time to find a new home, with rescuers warning he could be forced onto the streets within hours. The dog, currently in the care of Greek Stray ResQ, is healthy and ready to travel to the UK, but without an adopter, he may be left to fend for himself.
In an emotional appeal, the charity said: 'Christopher is magnificent but he is facing a heartbreaking reality: he is about to be put out on the streets.' They added: 'We are searching for a true hero to step in before it's too late.'
Weighing around 25kg, Christopher has all legal requirements completed for travel. However, rescuers stress he needs more than just shelter—he deserves a loving family, not a life as an outdoor guard dog. The charity insists he must be rehomed as an indoor pet and valued family member.
German Shepherds are known for their loyalty and intelligence, but require commitment and companionship. The charity believes Christopher has the potential to be a wonderful family dog if given the chance. Supporters are urged to share the appeal immediately to find him a home.
