
Police in Northern Ireland have issued an urgent public appeal for help in tracing two teenage boys who have disappeared from South Belfast. The pair, both aged 15, were reported missing on Wednesday evening, sparking immediate concern from authorities and loved ones.
Alex Storey was last seen in the Ravenhill Road area at approximately 6:30 PM on Wednesday, 22nd May. He is described as being around 5' 7" tall with short brown hair. When last spotted, Alex was wearing a distinctive black North Face tracksuit.
Callum McKeown was last seen in the Ormeau Road area around the same time. He is described as being approximately 5' 10" tall with short brown hair. Callum was last seen wearing a black Canada Goose jacket, black tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.
Police and Family Concerns Grow
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has expressed growing concern for the welfare of both boys and is coordinating extensive search efforts across the city. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
"We are growing increasingly concerned for Alex and Callum and would appeal to anyone who has seen them or who knows where they are to get in touch," a PSNI spokesperson stated. "We would also appeal directly to Alex and Callum to please make contact to let us know you are safe."
How the Public Can Help
Police are asking residents and businesses in South Belfast to check their CCTV, doorbell cameras, and dashcam footage from Wednesday evening for any possible sightings of the teenagers.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately by calling 101 and quoting reference number 1932 of 22/05/24. The public can also provide information anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The families of both boys are said to be extremely worried and are joining police in appealing for their safe return. Community efforts are mobilizing to help locate the missing teenagers as search operations continue throughout Belfast and surrounding areas.
