The Crow Girl season one concludes on Channel 5 on Wednesday, July 29. The psychological thriller, adapted from the Scandinavian bestseller by Erik Axl Sund, has aired over two weeks on the channel.
Season two is already available to stream on Paramount+. In an unusual move, the second series started on Paramount+ at the same time season one launched on Channel 5. It aired 18 months after the first season dropped on the streaming service. There has been no announcement about whether season two will also air on Channel 5.
Will there be a season 3?
It is unlikely there will be a third series. While Paramount+ has not confirmed either way, the second season has caught up with the book. Although The Crow Girl is based on a trilogy of books – The Crow Girl, The Hunger Fire and The Pythia’s Instructions – the English translation combines them into one volume.
The cast includes Welsh actress Eve Myles as DCI Jeanette Kilburn, Charles Dale as her father Brian Cole, Katherine Kelly as Dr. Sophia Craven, Dougray Scott as DI Lou Stanley, and others. The plot follows DCI Kilburn and her team investigating the discovery of unidentified young men's bodies across Bristol.
Season one concludes on Wednesday, July 29 at 9pm on Channel 5.
