Helen Flanagan has jokingly begged for schools to reopen after admitting she is exhausted from looking after her three children during the summer holidays.
The former Coronation Street star shares her kids - Matilda, Delilah, and Charlie - with her ex-fiancé, footballer Scott Sinclair. The couple split in 2022 after 13 years together and now co-parent their children.
Summer of fun takes its toll
Helen has been keeping the kids busy this summer. In May, she took them to Newquay in Cornwall for a beach holiday, and also treated them to a gifted staycation at a Pario Holiday Parks venue in Wales.
But in the final weeks of the break, the actress admitted she was feeling knackered. She took to Instagram with a joking rant, declaring it was time for schools to reopen so she could have a break.

Sharing a snap of herself looking tired in bed, she captioned the post: "Open the schools," alongside a laughing emoji. She then listed some of the things she has said to her kids recently.
"Things I’ve heard come out my mouth recently," she began. The list included: "Can mummy please wipe her bum in peace?", "Stop fighting. I am a person. I am not your 'bro'; I am your mum", "No treats if you're not good", and "Can Mummy just have 5 minutes?".
The final one was sweeter: "I love you so much."
Support from fellow parents
Helen was inundated with support from other parents feeling the stress of weeks of childcare. One wrote: "Am with you my 3 year old is driving me mad," while another said: "I agree 6 weeks is too long… for mums."
A third commented: "I feel for you and every parent put there waiting for these kids to go back to school. Keep going Helen nit long now, your an amazing mummy."
Helen recently opened up about struggling as a single parent, writing: "Tired Mum. Overstimulated. Sick of the arguing. No words for how much I love them. Due my period. Feel like I’ve been the Wicked Witch of the West. Mum guilt. Love them so much. Not been able to get back to any of work email or [Whatsapps] or my friends."
