Greater Manchester Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they wish to speak to following an assault in which a man was seriously injured with a wine glass. The incident occurred in the early hours of 25 May at a bar on Canal Street in Manchester's Gay Village.
Details of the Assault
At around 3:20 am, the woman is believed to have hit the man in the face with a wine glass, causing a deep laceration and serious injuries. She then left the premises. Police described the injuries as serious but have not provided an update on the man's condition.
Police Appeal
In a social media post, city centre police said: "Officers are appealing for information following an assault at a bar on Canal Street, in which a man suffered serious injuries. Following initial enquiries, we are now in a position to release an image of a woman, who we believe can assist with our ongoing investigation."
