A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision involving an e-scooter in North Cornelly, Bridgend. The incident occurred at School Terrace just before 5pm on Thursday, August 20.
Road closed for investigation
The road was closed in both directions for several hours to allow accident investigation work to be carried out. The closure affected the stretch from B4283 Porthcawl Road to Thomas Crescent.
Police appeal for witnesses
South Wales Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A police spokesman said: “South Wales Police are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred at School Terrace, North Cornelly at approximately 16.57pm yesterday (August 20).”
“The collision involved a single e-scooter. A woman remains in hospital with serious injuries.”
“Officers are appealing for any witnesses who witnessed the incident or were in the area and have dash cam footage to contact South Wales Police on 101 quoting reference 2600273578.”
