Police are appealing for information after a woman was harassed on the 192 bus in Stockport and later followed until she hid in a store.
Incident details
The incident began at around 10.25am on Tuesday, August 4 2026. The suspect stared at the victim for the entire bus ride and asked her if she was engaged, according to police. The journey started at Stepping Hill Hospital and ended at Mersey Square on Wellington Road.
As the woman got off the service, the man followed her across Mersey Square and into a shop, where she hid until he left. The woman was left distressed by the incident.
Police appeal
Officers have released an image of a person they would like to speak to, believing he could help with their enquiries.
