According to reports from CNN Brazil, Maria Eduarda was thrown by employees of the company Entre Cordas, but staff did not realize she was not yet secured. The incident occurred on Ponte do Esqueleto, known as the Skeleton Bridge.
Emergency services from SAMU (Mobile Emergency Care Service) treated her at the scene, but she succumbed to her injuries. Horrifying footage of the accident has gone viral on social media.
