A woman has been arrested after allegedly fully undressing and acting indecently on a flight to Miami. The incident took place onboard American Airlines flight AA1779 on Friday, when a woman in seat 9D is said to have stripped naked and started performing lewd acts in front of other passengers.
Flight met by law enforcement on arrival
The Airbus A319, which can hold up to 160 passengers, had taken off from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Fox News reports. The flight had left two hours late, finally landing in Miami just before 11.25pm local time after a two-hour journey.
An Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) message logged in relation to the incident stated that law enforcement be requested. The message, sent to American Airlines' Integrated Operations Center, read: "FA1 REPORTS THAT PAX IN SEAT 9DEF HAS TAKEN OFF ALL HER CLOTHES AND WAS SEEN BY OTHER PAX ******************* IN AN INDECENT MANNER. FOM SAYS THIS MUST BE REPORTED TO IOC/OSM AND HAVE LAW ENFORCEMENT."
Passenger taken into custody
Officers were waiting at the gate when the flight landed and the woman was taken into custody. It has not been confirmed if the passenger in question needed to be restricted.
