Investigation launched

British Skydiving - the national governing body for the activity in Great Britain and Northern Ireland - subsequently confirmed that a board of inquiry would be convened to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.

The body said: "We recognise that incidents such as this can have a profound impact on those involved, those who witnessed the event, and the wider skydiving community."
