Police are investigating a suspected hit and run in which a van driver crashed into a wheelchair user, leaving her seriously injured. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 15, in Wrexham.

Collision details

The collision happened at around 11.30am on Meadow Lea, a residential street. It involved a white flatbed-type van and a pedestrian in a wheelchair.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, and the woman was taken to hospital. The driver failed to stop and has not yet been identified.

Appeal for information

Police are asking anyone who saw the vehicle, witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage to come forward. Detective Sergeant Katie Davies, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said officers are continuing efforts to identify the driver.
