A car rollover in Melbourne has resulted in the deaths of two children and injuries to five others. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 4pm on Tuesday, September 8.
Details of the Incident
A woman and seven children were inside the vehicle when it rolled. A seven-year-old girl died at the scene. An 11-year-old boy, airlifted to hospital with critical injuries, died overnight.
The other five children were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for observation.
Emergency Response and Ongoing Investigation
Ambulance helicopter crews, intensive care and advanced life paramedics remained at the scene throughout Tuesday afternoon. Anyone with information or footage has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers. Investigations are ongoing.
